| This is the Hip Hop that I love, songs that are filthy, based on aggression, bravado, and unpretty subject matter like, how much better I am then you, and how I'll gladly prove it if you push the issue - the everyday things that test our limits, that bring out the ugly side No matter what music I throw down, I am still a HIP HOP BATTLE DJ, a member of the 5P. Thats where my roots lie and skills come from, dont get it twisted. And my crewmates, they didnt win all those battles by holding each others hands and taking windy walks in the park. We took those aspects of negativity, and channeled them into stylish behind kicking. And when we took some lickin ourselves, we still got up and kept it movin. There will be many an experience in your life that will leave you in a negative state, but how you react in those situations - thats what separates the movers and shakers. I get tested on the regular, because of my youthful appearance, because of my good nature. People often mistake kindness for weakness. When I used to DJ in Brooklyn, the unfortunate uninitiated would only see this "chinese" guy (even though I'm about as chinese as a dominican dude is puerto rican) behind the tables. "Whats this young cat know about music??"... Ahh, how I love to surprise and open eyes... They often say that great art comes from pain and struggle, and the songs on this CD, they take the ugliness of this world, and make something beautiful out of it. This one is dedicated to those who continue making things lovely, to NYC, and to you real Hip Hop fans. No matter where I go, even a remote island in the middle of the pacific, I will always represent, I will always be filthy... -DJ Neil Armstrong Track Listing: 1 Who Got My Back - Trends of Culture 2 New York Love - Ja Rule, Fat Joe, Jada, Masta Ase, Nas, Indelible Mc's 3 Vital Nerve - Company Flow 4 Clones - The Roots 5 Letha Brainz Blo - Heltah Skeltah 6 3 Card Molly - Ras Kass, Saafir, (Xzibit) 7 What U See Is What U Get - Xzibit 8 Still Dre - Dr. Dre 9 Can It Be All So Simple - Wu Tang Clan 10 Hold you down - The Alchemist 11 Players - Slum Village 12 Lovin' It - Little Brother 13 A Million and One Questions - Jay-z 14 I Declare War - Pace Won 15 That Bullshit - Saafir/Casual 16 That's How It Is - Casual 17 South Bronx - BDP 18 Black Nostaljack - Camp Lo 19 Rockin' It - Fearless Four 20 My Melody - Eric B. & Rakim 21 Memory Lane - Nas 22 Shook Ones Part II - Mobb Deep Control Your Cries... 23 Tearz - Wu Tang Clan 24 Maintain - Organized Konfusion 25 The Life - Tribeca/Pharoahe Monch 26 Cell Therapy - Goodie Mobb 27 Bucktown - Smif-N-Wessun Control Your Smiles... 28 Jackin For Beats - Ice Cube 29 How to Rob - 50 Cent Cause that's all you have... 30 It's Bigger Than Hip-Hop - Dead Prez 31 Dreams - Game 32 Welcome to Jamrock -Damian "Jr Gong" Marley 33 Solid As A Rock/Never Scared - Sizzla/BoneCrusher/DJ Obsession 34 You're the Man - Nas 35 I Went For Mine - Diamond D 36 Flavor Of the Month - Black Sheep 37 Get By - Talib Kweli BONUS TRACK 38 I.EMERGE - Buggin .... for you nonbelievers |
