|Free poster while supplies last (poster will be folded unless you purchase a poster tube). The latest addition to the Quannum artist roster is Brooklyn-based group, APSCI (pronouced "ap-sy") is the New York-based duo comprised of Sydney's Dana Diaz-Tutaan and New York's Raphael LaMotta. Ra's flow and Dana's wail weave in and out of self-produced shuffling, discordant beats. Executive produced by Chief Xcel of Blackalicious.
APSCI fuses a broad range of influences from 70s Krautrock to 80s hip-hop to 90s indie rock. Live instruments co-mingle with glitch-laden driving beats, over which Ra's gruff erudition plays counterpoint to Dana's staccato chatter and cacophonic wail.
"Thanks for Asking" also features Mr. Lif, Tunde Adebimpe, Martin Perna, Vursatyl, and Pigeon John.
