HunterGatherer was founded in 2000 in Brooklyn, New York, and makes everything from furniture to clothing to animation. The 2 designers behind the line and studio are Todd St. John and Gary Benzel, also the founders and co- designers of the long-running independent clothing label Green Lady, founded in 1995. In addition to the HUGA product line, the studio has gained an international reputation through comissioned print and animation work with MTV, Nixon, Weiden & Kennedy, Nike, AIGA and many others. In recent years, St. John and Benzel have been participated in an increasing number of gallery shows as well, including Houston, alife / arkitip, RedFive, and 222 gallery.
