The Revolution Will Not Be Televised is a poem by writer- musician Gil Scott Heron, an influential activist who changed the world with his poetry and music. In a time when revolutions in the US and abroad were being shown on television to induce fear in the public eye, Gil Scott came out as an opponent to this bias of the medias coverage. The logic of Gil Scott Herons message, namely that the media will never accurately represent the voice of the people continues unabated to this day. This design pays respect to Gil Scotts prescient message on the voice of the people, the medias distortion of that voice and the government who profits from it.
