Acid House is the sound of the 80s Chicago underground taken to a whole new level of sonic innovation by the addition of the Roland TB 303 into the house producers repertoire. It was set off by the Chicago pioneers Phuture with “Acid Trax”; a seminal slice of underground house that was played by Ron Hardy at the Music Box and was picked up by the DJ’s at the legendary Hacienda in Manchester. This design is a view into past with an eye towards the future and is essential for under- ground heads who lived through that day and for those who are just discovering that sound now. The shirt has the text “Acid House” with the numbers “303” in small lettering inside the text.
